Janice Marie Jewelry, Malachite Ankh Earrings

I’ve had a long fascination with Egyptian jewelry, and I created these earrings as part of a matching set inspired by revered ancient symbol the Ankh, representing the key of life.

I made these earrings, using the lost wax, casting method, and created them out of wax. They were then cast into solid bronze, oxidized for the perfect patina, polished, and the stones were set. I chose these beautiful Malachites for the beautiful swirling greens as well as their shape. These earrings or one and three-quarter inches long and finished with 14 karat gold filled earring wires.
