Panjloh Handmade Luxury Art is the brainchild of an architect couple, who had a desire to create pieces of art that were intricate and rare, but at the same time “Usable”.
After completion of a bachelors degree in Architecture, followed by Masters in Urban Planning and Social Science from The Mecca of Art and Design, Royal Melbourne Institute of technology , Ar. Aman Laungia and Ar. Tarun Sidhu went on to design countless architectural projects that sharpened the design principles an artist must command.
About 7 years down the line, the architectural mould looked monotonous in process of conception, design and execution. Hence, the architects broke the mould in pursuit of digging deep into the “art” of design, that challenged the mind in each project.
Panjloh was born, as a result, in 2013.
“Panj” meaning five in punjabi and “Loh” translates to metal. The name is not a fantasy interpreted, it reflects the notion of a salacious journey, that Panjloh indulges in. Panjloh was born to merge the rarest of art techniques, capturing the zeitgeist of the history, that are getting extinct globally, with the daring thought of making an art piece extensively usable, rather than a lifeless canvas hanging in a Swiss dungeon.
Panjloh’s passion for exclusive “enjoyable” luxurious art innovated a new ambitious art-form that aims to shiver the dull gallery scene by peeling away layers of opaqueness in the conceptual fantasies. Panjloh pivoted the art sector by pioneering in an inclusive wear-able art and a brandishing Ride-able art. What’s an art worth, if you can’t enjoy it? What is it worth, if it isn’t ecstasize you in every encounter, with the same intensity as the first time? And What’s an art worth, if you have to justify its value?. Panjloh intends to address all these questions, in finest of Details.
