2madison Avenue (Read: To Madison Avenue) is an eclectic ready-to-wear brand made in Indonesia with Maggie Hutauruk-Eddy as the Founder and Creative Director. Maggie Hutauruk-Eddy is Indonesian, born and raised in Jakarta, and lived in the Unites States for 12 years. From a young age Maggie had an eye for eclectic design and art. She studied painting, pattern making, music, art history, and she further expanded her interest by studying art at Chestnut Hill College and Apparel Design at Rhode Island School of Design, Providence Rhode Island. She loves travelling and visiting places rich with history and culture, which influences the way she composes her collections. Her designs are rich in colour, textures, and she often includes local street art from Indonesia in her design projects. Maggie has a Master’s degree in Business from IPMI (Indonesia) and Monash Univertsity (Melbourne), which equips her with necessary skills for running a fashion and art business. She runs an artisan gallery in a trendy part of Jakarta Indonesia, and a fashion boutique in one of the major malls in South Jakarta. Maggie currently lives in Jakarta with her Australian husband and 2 children. Her history provides a strong connection to America and she frequently travels there. She hopes to collaborate with creative talents and companies in the USA and to find American stockists for her collection.
