As an architect, I apply architectural principles and concepts to my handbag designs. This allows me to create pieces that are structurally and functionally well thought-out, unique, and aesthetically appealing. How I started designing handbags: One summer day, I had a vivid image in my mind of a bag in a bright, rich green—and I immediately wanted to own it. Unfortunately, I couldn’t find a bag that matched the one in my imagination anywhere. A few months later, while taking a walk, I stumbled upon a leather shop in Stuttgart, Germany. There, I found exactly the green leather I had been searching for. It felt as if it had been waiting for me! That’s when I told myself: if I can design a building, I can design a leather bag for myself! And that’s exactly what I did—at the time, just for me... After a longer break—during which my love for high-quality, elegant leather bags never left me—I’ve now decided to stop creating bags only for myself. I’ve returned to my passion… with a new idea that blends layered functionality, a play of color, light, and shadow—all within a handbag—as a tribute to architecture.
