POEMET is a contemporary brand of silk scarves founded in 2021 by NYC based Israeli, Michal Lifshitz. The name POEMET is inspired by a Hebrew word that means ‘The Heartbeat of a woman’. The designs echo Michal’s heartbeat and her perception that “No matter what life will bring the heart will continue beating, ever changing and never still”. The brand's motto is ‘Your Life’s Experiences are Poetry in Motion’. As a slow fashion brand, the computer and hand illustrated patterns are manufactured in small quantities on 100% premium silk. The scarves are digitally printed and sewn in the United Kingdom. Each scarf is made with full attention to every small detail. The designs portray a graphic interpretation of evolutionary processes in the human body and nature.
