My name is Desiree, and I am the founder and lead designer of Rich and Rich Homeopportunities L.L.C. I established the brand in 2009, during a time when homebased businesses were emerging as a vital pathway to financial independence. The name “Rich and Rich” is a tribute to my children, the Richardson's. I envisioned a company that could serve as a lasting legacy for them and my grandson, continuing a proud family tradition of business ownership, educational leadership, and community partnership that my grandfather began in the 1940s.
My entrepreneurial journey actually began over a decade ago while I was serving in the United States Navy. What started as a blog marketing hobby quickly evolved into a
thriving platform with a dedicated following. As I transitioned into my career as a nurse—eventually earning my Master of Science in Nursing to become a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) in 2021—I continued to grow my business. The flexibility of my military and nursing careers
allowed me to cultivate my passion for fashion. During the pandemic in 2021, amidst global uncertainty, I fully recommitted to the brand. Today, we have built a loyal
network and a dynamic product line, and I am living my lifelong dream of being a fashion designer—a journey that began years ago when I would cut up fabrics to
design clothes for my dolls. What sparked your passion for creating your own fashion label? I have always had a profound love for clothing and the entrepreneurial spirit. While I
enjoyed my early work in affiliate marketing, I realized I wanted full creative control over the products I was presenting to the world. I asked myself, Why not create your
own brand?
