TWO HANDS idea merchants

TWO HANDS Idea Merchants was born & launched in August 2023 for Spring 2024, founded by Glenn Mance, an industry insider known for his keen foresight into emerging trends, meticulous attention to detail and innate sense of color.

As Glenn tells it… “being a lover of vintage and constantly repairing my worn out jeans and fatigues, I became acutely aware of how many people made posts of their own adored and wonderfully repaired favorite garments, especially vintage garments. And while there’s many “brands” that up-cycle & repair vintage garments, they are most all one of a kind thus all sizes were not often available, thus fit would be an issue. I felt there was a white space for a brand that did not look mass produced, but rather like your favorite go to vintage sweatshirt, hoodie or item that wore out, but instead of discarding it, you lovingly mended it giving it new life and making it look cooler & personalized… a future heirloom.”

Having years of design, production experience & supplier contacts, he was able to marry industrial production with artisanal craftsmanship to create a product that was anti-mass production looking. Of course it had to be eco friendly so the fabrics are organic cotton, the hang tags are made from residual scraps of fabric after cutting the pieces used for the garments, thus almost no wastage. No metal is used on the hang tags or on hoods for the drawcords, and all the logos and embroideries are made by hand, no machines… empowering women who keep the tradition of embroidery alive & paying fair wages. Every aspect of the brand reflects a harmonious blend of artistry and responsibility.
