Belle Epoque Jewelers, 18K Augist Heart Pendant

This charming and authentic love pendant was crafted from rich and buttery 18k yellow gold and bears a maker's mark of the famous French goldsmith Alphonse Augis. The inscription on the front "plus qu'hier, moins que demain" comes from a famous line by the poet Rosemonde Gérard (1866-1953) in a letter to her husband in which she wrote "For you see, each day I love you more. Today more than yesterday and less than tomorrow." The sentimental and heartfelt lines from the poem have been reworked into a medal which promises everlasting love and a constant reminder of affection. The plus sign has been crafted from white gold while the minus sign is composed of synthetic calibrated rubies. This medal is particularly charming due to its heart shape and small size. It can easily be worn tucked away unseen and close to the heart or on a charm bracelet so that you may always feel its declaration of love.
