KAKERA is a Japanese jewelry brand focusing on natural stones. Of the more than 3,000 species of minerals believed to exist on the earth, only a few are considered gemstones. The definition of a gemstone is “something created by nature,” “beauty,” and “durability. KAKERA believes that not only stones with clear brilliance, but even stones with inclusions, which were once considered blemishes, are beautiful entities created by nature. From among the richly unique natural stones from around the world, the designers themselves select colors that blend well with everyday styling, and breathe life into the jewelry that you wear. The designer's inspiration comes from minerals and motifs from the natural world. The unique colored stones are carefully selected for their form and texture, and incorporated into designs that fit easily into everyday fashion. The atelier is staffed by dedicated CAD creators and craftsmen. Prototypes are created from flat design drawings using digital tools to create three-dimensional forms, and then each detail is carefully finished by hand. For one-of-a-kind jewelry, we do not make a prototype, but create a base and set the stones for that particular piece of jewelry.
