Janice Marie Jewelry, Gold Hanalei Earrings

These earrings are created by using the bead embroidery technique, where gold coated Japanese glass beads are stitched around a found object to create a bezel. The found objects in this piece are rare Hawaiian shells called sunrise shells. Also called Langford‘s Pectin, these scallops come in a variety of bright colors. The back of the shells are finished with soft ultra suede for comfort and style. The earring wires are 14 karat gold fill, and these earrings are 2 1/4 inches long.
