UMBI Charm – Letter M

The origin of the letter 'M' was the
Egyptian hieroglyph of five wavy vertical
lines used to symbolize water. In 1800 BC
the Semites reduced the lines to three
waves, and the Phoenicians removed one
more wave. In 800 BC, the peaks were
turned into zigzags and flipped to form
today’s letter M, which stands for
emotions and nature.
